Release Date:2024.05.22

Suzhou, China--i-Battery Energy Technology (Suzhou) Co. , Ltd ("IBTR")and Danish Clean Energy Company officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement and long-term intention order, based on their own advantages and business areas, the two parties will carry out in-depth cooperation in the user side, industrial and commercial energy storage and other fields. This cooperation not only marks an important progress in i-battery's strategic layout in overseas markets, but also shows the company's strong overseas channel capabilities and high recognition from international customers, and is expected to achieve replicable long orders in overseas regions such as Europe in the future.

Denmark is located in northern Europe, bordering Germany in the south, the North Sea in the west, and Norway and Sweden across the sea in the north, with a temperate maritime climate. It is composed of more than 400 nearby islands such as Jutland Peninsula, Fieng Island and Sealand Island, covering an area of about 43,000 square kilometers and a population of about 5.9 million. Denmark has rich wind resources, its power structure is dominated by wind and solar, solar and wind accounted for nearly 60%, biomass energy accounted for more than 20%, renewable energy overall provides about two-thirds of the electricity demand. From the perspective of installed capacity and power generation, wind power and photovoltaic have become the main power sources in the Danish power system. In 2022, Denmark's cumulative installed wind capacity reached 7.3GW, and the government plans to increase offshore wind capacity to 12.9GW by 2030.

Denmark's annual electricity consumption is about 38 billion KWH, the whole society's electricity load is about 2.5 million to 6.5 million kilowatts, and the annual load rate is about 0.67. The annual electricity load in Denmark presents the characteristics of winter peak and summer trough, and the peak electricity consumption is from October to March each year, with an average load of about 4.2 million kilowatts. The low power consumption occurs from June to August each year, with an average load of about 3.5 million kilowatts. Affected by the objective factors that Denmark is located in the westerlies, the output characteristics of Danish wind power are larger in winter and smaller in summer, which is consistent with the characteristics of electricity load.

At the policy level, Denmark's energy policy aims to completely wean itself off fossil fuels by 2030, reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 70%, and aim for a 100% renewable energy supply by 2050. In addition, Copenhagen aims to become a "zero emissions" capital by 2025.

In this context, the cooperation between i-battery and Danish Clean Energy Company will greatly promote the security of electricity supply in Denmark and the European region, help Denmark become the Nordic energy center, and achieve the green energy goals of 2030 and 2050 as soon as possible, continuing the "Danish energy fairy tale". The all-vanadium flow battery energy storage solution provided by i-battery will not only effectively support the development of renewable energy in Denmark, but also provide stable power and energy support for agricultural production and residential life, while achieving cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

In this partnership with i-battery, a leading Danish green energy company will purchase i-battery's highly integrated all-vanadium flow battery energy storage system. The system is designed to meet the urgent needs of the local market for extremely safe, high-capacity energy storage products to support diversified profit models such as self-use, capacity tariffs, auxiliary service markets and backup power. The system optimizes energy management and significantly reduces dependence and impact on the grid.

The high durability and reliability of the products we offer significantly reduces the need for frequent battery replacement, thereby reducing overall maintenance costs. Full life cycle KWH is extremely low-cost, safe and environmentally friendly, and perfectly suited to the needs of those who are committed to ESG initiatives and sustainable development.

The partnership will focus on jointly developing, executing and operating an exclusive sales channel for i-battery products to access the large and growing market for energy storage batteries in Europe.

i-battery seized the opportunity of the overseas market, under the background of high-quality development of the "Belt and Road", continuously strengthened the green development cooperation with countries and regions along the route, and continued to strategically layout the international market with high-quality product quality and multi-scenario solutions, and expanded more overseas long orders in the future.
